We accept patients at Millar Physical Therapy by prescription from your physician. We are a traditional physical therapy group specializing in neck & back problems like herniated and bulging disc, degenerative disc disease, degenerative facet disease, stenosis, sciatica, spinal arthritis and radicular (radiating) pain and numbness into the arms and legs. In treating the spine, we utilize DTS Decompression Traction, Core Stablization Exercises, Massage, Cold Laser, along with other modality treatments. Millar Physical Therapy has sucessfully treated hundreds of neck and low back patients before and after surgery. We are a purud member of the UAB Department of Neurosurgery, Care Network. As with all treatments results may vary in individual cases. Of course, like other physical therapist, we treat joint problems like shoulders, elbows, wrist, hips, knees, and feet. Like others, we also treat muscle problems most anywhere in the body. We use e-stim, ultra sound, diathermy, cold laser, exercise, manual therapy, massage, neuromuscular reeducation, range of motion work and work hardning procedures.
